Hi, I’m Ms. Saylor!

I’m a teacher with a Masters in Art Education and a background in psychology, with several years of experience supporting children in both special education and ABA settings.

Over time, I noticed that many kids who struggle in school aren’t lacking ability, rather they’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure how to express themselves, or stuck without the tools they need to navigate everyday challenges. I’ve spent years working closely with students on these exact skills, helping them build confidence, communicate more effectively, and feel more capable on a day-to-day basis.

That experience is what led me to start Creative Coaching. In my work, I combine art, structure, support and guidance to help children express their thoughts and emotions in a way that feels safe, natural and low-pressure. From there, we build real-life skills like communication, emotional awareness, and coping strategies they can use both at home and in social situations, like at school.

I’ve seen firsthand how art can help students regulate their emotions in a way that words alone often can’t. My approach is informed by my experience in special education.

More than anything, I aim to create a space where children feel safe to be themselves while building the confidence and skills they need to grow.
